We are Kally & Ken, the Honeymooners! Two love birds, recently married who love to travel and explore new places. We are taking the winter off, packing up shop and taking the pups on a Mexican adventure in our "new" Chinook Honeymooner.

Departure: October 2017
Return: April 2018

We will work our way down to Arizona where Kally's folks currently live, are getting ready to retire and move to Mexico. We will probably stay around 3 weeks, just enough time to do some updates to the Honeymooner and party like rockstars with old people :)

From AZ we will head down into Mexico, taking our time finding new places to explore with our 4 legged children!

This isn't one of those "we quit our jobs and sold everything we own" blogs, we aren't wandering or lost and can confidently say we will not be getting a hipster tattoo on the road. We will however be posting updates here on the blog, and on Instagram for friends and family to follow along. There will be no shortage of photos, videos or hashtags. The bride is good at documenting the memories and enjoys the entire process.

Hi I'm Pika (black dog),
I enjoy anything where I get to move my legs. My favorite time of day is dinner time, I get SOOO excited and like to jump up an down even though I'm old and it hurts like a son of a bitch. I love my mom the most (shh- lets not tell dad) and am way better at cuddling than the white dog.

I'm really excited about sniffing new things, eating scraps I find along the way and then puking them up in the camper. Not thrilled will how hot I'll be, let the shedding begin!

Welp, I was right (duh).. I was too hot. Mom took me to get shaved and I'm feeling much better. The lady did a bit of a hack job around my neck so mom fixed it as best she could and now I look better than before. Who knew that was possible.

​PIKA UPDATE: FEB 6, 2018
3 months later and mom finally posts my update, uh. Well a lot has happened in 3 months. I ate quite a bit of garbage that my parents have no idea about, I’m a garbage ninja. In one of the towns near the Guatemalan border, I was off sneaking trash and trotted around for a good hour. There was a huge nasty dog pack that I didn’t want anything to do with, so I left. What’s the big deal? Dad thought it was a big deal when he found me, he was pretty upset. Other than that, I do a lot of sleeping. When we drive from town to town, I get to lay on the big bed with a window. My life’s pretty great, but don’t tell anyone I said that.
Oh Hello! Im Petra, the white dog.
I LOVE it when people let me stick my nose up their butt, that's the best. I don't think its fair if the black dog gets attention and I don't, so I'll probably head-butt you if that happens... I like to run really fast, sometimes so fast that I trip and fall on my face, but I'm tough so its fine.

PETRA UPDATE: SEPT 22, 2017
There are soooo many totes of stuff around the house right now.. am I going to live in a tote? I'm hungry. I'm happy. Why did mom leave my home for 1 hour to run errands? I think I will chew up my bed now.

PETRA UPDATE: NOV 9, 2017
Arizona is hot, and makes me very sleepy. Mom and Dad took us on a hike and I could barely even run. I learned what a cactus was though, that sucked. Also, I'm getting fat because Nana is spoiling us. It's great.

PETRA UPDATE: FEB 6, 2018
I’m not chubby anymore! I’ve lost 2 lbs in just fur, but it’s not lost we know where it is.. in the truck! Under the seats and in alllll the little nooks and crannies. I’m having a good time but I am really looking forward to my mom taking me on some trail runs when we get home. It’s hard to chase birds and squirrels from a moving vehicle, ya know? But I am so glad we didn’t get left at home!
Hi, I'm Kally. Born and raised Alaska girl that fell in love with an Italian boy from Pennsylvania. I love my food. Snacks, I especially love my snacks. I love being outside and moving my legs up a mountain with the company of friends/dogs. I've been to 22 countries, only 11% of the world & I want to see it all.  I get motion sickness real bad and I don't like people touching my belly button. The red Bota Box is my favorite and really enjoy eating fruit cocktail out of a can. I'm pretty smart when it comes numbers with a dollar sign in front of them and you will always find me with a camera in my hand. I'm the bride. 
I'm Ken, the Italian boy from Pennsylvania. I love boats. All kinds of boats. So much that my bride and I bought one and started a business that allows me to drive boats for money. Awesome. I enjoy recreating outdoors and working with my hands, what the wife (that's me) calls a manly man. Peanut butter cookies and ice-cream are my favorite but I eat anything the wife will feed me. I hate it when there are bones in my fish and I am super ticklish. I listen to a lot of NPR and podcasts and don't ever want to stop learning. I'm the groom.
